The Toronto Blue Jays have appointed right-handed pitcher Jay Jackson from triple-A Buffalo as their 27th man on the roster for their doubleheader Thursday against the Chicago White Sox.
The 35-year-old reliever has made four appearances this season with a 1.59 ERA and .882 WHIP over 5.2 innings.
Starting pitcher Jose Berrios heads to the mound for the first game, which was postponed Wednesday due to inclement weather. Yusei Kikuchi gets the start for the second game.
