Maple Leafs will start Joseph Woll in goal against Blackhawks

Joseph Woll is set to make his first start of the season for the Toronto Maple Leafs when they host Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks Monday night.

Woll went 6-1 in his seven appearances during the regular season last year posting a 2.16 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage. Woll also made four appearances during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, making two starts when Ilya Samsonov was injured in the second round against the Florida Panthers.

Samosonov has backstopped the Leafs to their first two wins of the season but will be looking to improve on the 4.42 goals-against average and .839 save percentage.
