San Francisco 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey will play Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
McCaffrey was listed as questionable for the game after suffering an oblique injury in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns. He returned to practice as a limited participant Saturday after missing the two previous workouts.
The 27-year-old is looking to extend his streak of games with a touchdown to 16, which would be the second-longest streak in NFL history. Former Baltimore Colts running back Lenny Moore owns the longest touchdown streak, reaching 17 between the 1963 and 1964 seasons.
Since being acquired by San Francisco, McCaffrey has not missed a single game. The 49ers will need the star running back in this game, with receiver Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams out with injuries.
