Flames G Markstrom out day-to-day with lower-body injury, Wolf called up

Calgary Flames goalie Jacob Markstrom is listed as day-to-day after suffering a lower-body injury, the team announced Tuesday.

Dustin Wolf has been called up by the club to back up Dan Vladar, and both were on the ice Tuesday. The Flames host the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday.

Markstrom, who has helped backstop the Flames’ recent hot play, reportedly left practice Monday early. No details were immediately known about the specifics of his injury.

The Swedish star is 13-11-2 this season, with a .912 save percentage and 2.59 goals-against average.
