The Kansas City Chiefs have rewarded defensive co-ordinator Steve Spagnuolo with a new contract extension after winning a second-straight Super Bowl title.
Spagnuolo, 64, has been the defensive co-ordinator in Kansas City for five seasons, winning three titles.
In 2023, the Chiefs ranked third in the NFL allowing only six yards per attempt and second with 57 total sacks.
In Super Bowl LVIII, Spagnuolo’s defence held the 49ers to field goals on two key drives late in the game — allowing the offence to first tie the game and then win it in overtime.
