The future of the Toronto Raptors will be on display at this year’s Summer League in Las Vegas.
Toronto officially announced its 16-player roster on Sunday ahead of its opening game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on July 13.
The squad will be headlined by the Raptors’ last two first-round picks, Gradey Dick and JaKobe Walter.
Dick, 20, was the 13th overall pick out of Kansas in the 2023 draft and averaged 8.5 points per game on 36.5 per cent shooting from three-point range during his rookie season with Toronto.
The Raptors selected Walter as the 19th overall pick out of Baylor in this year’s draft after the 19-year-old was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year. He averaged 14.5 points and 4.4 rebounds on 37.6 per cent shooting for the Bears.
Fellow 2024 draft picks Jonathan Mogbo (31st overall) and Jamal Shead (45th overall) will both be on the roster, as well.
Ulrich Chomche and Branden Carlson, both 2024 acquisitions, will also join the team.
Toronto is also sending Ochai Agbaji to Las Vegas after acquiring the six-foot-five guard last season.
Agbaji averaged 6.7 points per game and shot 39 per cent from the field after being acquired from the Utah Jazz in February. The 24-year-old was originally selected 22nd overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2022 draft and was later traded to Utah.
DJ Carton and Javon Freeman-Liberty will join Dick and Agbaji as members from the 2023-24 Raptors on the roster.
Canadian and current Raptors assistant coach Jama Mahlalela was named the head coach of the Summer League team.
