Despite dealing with other injuries throughout their roster, there seems to be no cause for concern for Raptors rookie Jamal Shead.
Toronto head coach Darko Rajakovic told reporters on Wednesday that Shead is “fine” after leaving Tuesday night’s game against the Boston Celtics with a hamstring injury.
Shead, 22, left the contest against the Celtics early in the second quarter with what the team called hamstring tightness.
Rajakovic did not provide clarity as to whether the guard would be available for the team’s final pre-season game against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.
The former Houston Cougars product was selected by the Kings in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft and traded to the Raptors on draft night.
The six-foot-one guard has been a bright spot for the Raptors early in the pre-season, averaging 10 points and 3.7 assists in three pre-season games entering Tuesday.
