The Carolina Hurricanes put forward Seth Jarvis on the injured reserve Saturday due to an upper-body injury.
Jarvis has been out of the lineup since last Saturday, recording two assists during a 6-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
He has 11 points (four goals and seven assists) in 13 games this season.
The 22-year-old from Winnipeg signed an eight-year contract extension with the Hurricanes on Aug. 31.
Jarvis, who was drafted 13th overall by Carolina in 2020, has 157 points (68 goals and 89 assists) in 244 career games over four seasons with the team.
He posted career highs of 33 goals and 67 points in 81 games last season.
