Maple Leafs recall forward Alex Steeves from AHL

The Toronto Maple Leafs recalled forward Alex Steeves from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League on Tuesday.

Steeves has appeared in four games with the Maple Leafs this season, registering zero points.

He leads the Marlies in scoring with 46 points (29 goals and 17 assists) in 40 games.

Steeves signed with Toronto as an undrafted free agent in 2021.

The 25-year-old has one assist in 11 career games over four seasons with the Maple Leafs.

Toronto (33-20-2) returns to action Saturday at home against the Carolina Hurricanes following the conclusion of the 4 Nations Face-Off.
