UFC to continue tradition of hosting Fight Night event in Paris in September

The UFC hosting an event in France in the month of September is a tradition that will continue later this year.

The organization announced Tuesday morning that a UFC Fight Night event is scheduled for Sept. 6 at Accor Arena in Paris, marking the fourth consecutive year the UFC has gone to the city.

No fights have been announced for the upcoming event, however, it will presumably feature a selection of UFC talent from the country.

French heavyweight Ciryl Gane headlined the first two events in Paris, finishing Tai Tuivasa in 2022 at the inaugural UFC event in France, then stopping Serghei Spivac with strikes in 2023.

The 2024 Paris card was headlined by French lightweight Benoit Saint Denis who lost to Brazil’s Renato Moicano. The co-main event that night featured rising middleweight contender Nassourdine Imavov of France who won a decision over American Brendan Allen.

Recent women’s flyweight title challenger Manon Fiorot is also one of the country’s top talents. Both Fiorot and Saint Denis recently competed at the UFC’s return to Montreal, where they did media at times in both French and English.

The announced attendance for each of the three previous Paris events at the Accor Arena venue exceeded 15,000.
