The Houston Rockets are trading Kevin Porter Jr. and two second-round picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Victor Oladipo and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Thunder will immediately waive Porter Jr., Wojnarowski reports.
The Thunder are acquiring a 2027 second via the Minnesota Timberwolves and a 2028 second via the Milwaukee Bucks in the deal, sources told Wojnarowski. Porter Jr. is facing assault charges based on an incident with a girlfriend.
The Thunder will have to pay the $16.9M guaranteed left on Porter Jr., contract as they waive him, Wojnarowski adds.
The Thunder have gathered four second-round picks in acquiring and moving Oladipo’s $9.5-million expiring deal during this off-season. The team has 15 first-round and 22 second-round picks over the next seven years.
Oladipo averaged 10.7 points, 3.5 assists and three rebounds in 42 appearances with the Miami Heat during the 2022-23 season, while Robinson-Earl recorded 6.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and one assist per game in 43 games for the Thunder.
