Report: Blue Jays sign Connor Seabold to minor-league contract

The Toronto Blue Jays have added some depth to their pitching staff, signing right-hander Connor Seabold to a minor-league contract, according to MLB.com’s transactions tracker.

Seabold, 30, appeared in seven games with the Tampa Bay Rays and Atlanta Braves last season, posting a 4.35 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 10.1 innings.

Seabold was a third-round pick of the Philadelphia Phillies back in 2017 and has appeared in parts of four major-league seasons, having logged 119 innings at the big-league level since debuting in 2021 with the Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, and a year overseas in South Korea.

The bulk of his MLB workload came in 2023 with the Rockies, where he served as a swingman, making 13 starts and 14 relief appearances, throwing 87.1 innings but struggling to a 7.52 ERA.

During his season with the KBO’s Samsung Lions in 2024, he made 28 starts and posted a 3.43 ERA across 160 innings.
